How it works

The KORG Pa700 is a professional arranger keyboard — it plays like a piano but its real trick is the built-in backing band. Pick a Style (Pop, Jazz, Khaleeji, Arabic, Rock, Latin) and the Pa700 generates a full drum, bass, and rhythm section that follows the chords you play with your left hand.

Under the hood you get 61 semi-weighted keys, KORG's EDS-X sound engine with over 1,700 sounds, a 7" colour touchscreen, and a dedicated MP3/MIDI player-recorder for gigs. The DNC (Defined Nuance Control) technology lets you switch articulations — like a saxophone growl or a guitar bend — while you play.

For Middle-Eastern players there's a full oriental scale set with quarter-tone switching per note, so you can flip between Western and Maqam scales live on stage. Two stereo speakers are built in, and there's a mic input with vocal effects for singers running solo.
