Every week someone calls us the day before a wedding asking for "a loud speaker". Getting sound right is not about buying the loudest box — it's about matching the system to the room, the crowd and the programme. This is the checklist we use when quoting systems for halls and events across Erbil.
Start with the room, not the speaker
- Small hall or garden party (up to ~100 guests): a pair of quality powered speakers on stands covers speech and background music.
- Medium hall or wedding (100–400 guests): you add a subwoofer for the low end, and a proper mixer so the singer and the DJ can share the system.
- Concert, outdoor event or big hall (400+ guests): this becomes a designed system — line-array style setups, monitor mixes for the stage, and a real digital console. This is where our installation team designs the whole thing for you.
The mixer is the brain
For one singer with a phone playing backing tracks, a compact powered mixer does everything — it amplifies the microphones, drives the speakers and carries built-in effects.
The moment you have several singers, a band, a DJ and speeches in the same evening, you want a digital console: recall the whole mix by scene, remote-control it from a tablet, and stop guessing at knobs.
Do not save on the microphones
A great speaker system sounds terrible through a bad or drop-out-prone wireless mic. For a single singer or MC, one solid handheld wireless system is enough. For two singers on stage at once — very common at Kurdish and Arabic weddings — you want a dual-channel system so both have their own frequency.
Rent or buy?
Buying makes sense when you run the same hall or band every week. For a one-off event, renting is smarter — our Pioneer DJ rental fleet includes controllers, consoles and complete setups by the hour or day. And if a venue needs a permanent answer, our team installs full stage, LED wall and sound systems and services them afterwards.
Tell us the room, get a quote
Call 0770 667 6668 or send us the venue details on WhatsApp — the room size, roughly how many guests and what's happening on stage — and we'll quote a system that fits instead of one that's merely big.
